Recommendation Web Application
I am excited to share the details of the project I have successfully completed the Food Recipe Recommendation System.Its the web application whose backend is Powered by content based recommendation algorithm. Throughout this project, I've worked diligently to create a robust system that aids users in finding their desired recipes effortlessly. With an extensive collection of over 14,000 food recipes, my system excels at providing optimal recommendations based on user searches. Not only does it offer the perfect match for the search query, but it also goes the extra mile by suggesting similar food recipes, introducing users to delightful new culinary experiences.
Starting from scratch, I delved into the intricacies of recommendation systems, determined to craft a reliable solution. My journey began by implementing the Bag of Words algorithm, enabling the system to extract and collect the most unique and relevant words from the vast text corpus of food recipes. This foundational step set the groundwork for the content-based recommendation system that followed.
Next, I applied the Count Vectorizer technique to convert each food recipe into a numerical vector representation. By transforming the textual data into vectors, I equipped the system with the ability to perform efficient mathematical operations, enabling it to compare and analyze recipe characteristics effectively.
The most crucial aspect of my project involved implementing the Cosine Similarity function. By calculating the cosine similarity between recipe vectors, I unlocked the ability to identify similar food choices and presented them as additional recommendations. Rigorous testing and validation confirmed the accuracy and efficiency of my content-based recommendation model, validating the efficacy of my approach. The Food Recipe Recommendation System has been an exciting and rewarding endeavor, and I am proud to have developed a user-friendly tool that helps food enthusiasts explore and enjoy a diverse array of culinary delights.
